> The model that replaced DALL·E 3 as what ChatGPT reaches for when you ask it for a picture, and the first from OpenAI that could reliably put readable words inside an image. It reached the API on 23 April 2025, a month after the version inside ChatGPT. Its replacement is one numeral away, and it goes on 23 October.
