> The first Claude, announced on the day the API opened for early access and reached at first only by people who had asked. Four point releases in, it was retired with the rest of its generation in November 2024. Anthropic has since committed to preserving the weights of the models it retires, which makes this a grave where something is buried rather than deleted.
